what are broad spectrum antibiotics example like ciprofloxacin? ,which one solvent has high impact with amphotericin b DMSO or Water?
Ciprofloxacin is a commonly used broad-spectrum antibiotic in cell culture that can be replaced with gentamycin or tobramycin. DMSO is the preferred solvent for dissolving amphotericin B in cell culture applications. It has a high capacity to solubilize the compound. Amphotericin B has very low solubility in water. Using water can lead to aggregation and precipitation, making it unsuitable for cell culture experiments.
Excuse me, may I use this video as an open learning resource/supplement to learning material at the Open University? Thank you for the permission granted.
Hi there. If you're using the link where it will direct people to this RUclips video, absolutely. And we would definitely appreciate the credit too. However, if it's uploading a video onto a specific platform outside of RUclips, then we would not allow that. I believe embedding from RUclips is OK since it's still basically on the RUclips platform in the end, if that makes sense.
this was soooo helpful. thank you

How to sterile that filter paper discs
EXPLICACION PRECISA, CLARA. GRACIAS
So useful! Loved the tips about wider margins, and the time lock (daily time) so it gets updated and reviewed daily.
Un cuaderno de laboratorio o libro de laboratorio es un registro primario de investigación. Los investigadores usan un cuaderno de laboratorio para documentar sus hipótesis, experimentos y análisis o interpretación inicial de estos experimentos.
This should have waaaaaay more views. 📌
thank you! it was informative.
Thanks alot❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Respect from Pakistan.🥰
Great video. I just have on comment on negative controls. What you've meant is a no-template control. A negative control contains DNA that is the "wrong" template for your primers, for example from a different species, that doesn't contain that target gene region.
I hate how scientists named Dh5 alpha as alpha even though it DOES NOT have alpha fragment. I always forget where the alpha and Omega genes are.😅😤
This quest was asked in viva.
Y de poliacrilamida seria lo mismo en gel de agarosa?
¡GRACIAS!
Can you please make a video on identification of PCR products bands using SSR markers because ssr marker makes multiple bands which are difficult to analyse
This video is awesome. We need this kind of united pronunciation.
I like presentation.
Thank you this was helpful!
Good job madam ❤ thank you
Good job madam ❤ thank you
Very helpful thank you.
I think the professor I worked under poured a glass of wine before she'd write a long entry. 🍷😂🎉
Does ladder, Marker and bands are same if not what is the difference?
how do you sterilize the filter paper disc?
awesome
When he explains better than my prof that is world famous in this field>>>>>
I'm reading a paper right now and he mentioned using a "plate-hole diffusion" assay to test his extract against a number of gram positive bacteria, I cant find anywhere that mentions an assay technique by that name though.. Ima just pretend he used this exact technique and call it a day bc im tired of scrolling through google nvm i just remembered i can put quotation marks in google search and only show results with exactly what i search for, we chillin now
Exactly what I want
I'm looking for information regarding chemical contamination related cell behaviour.
Chemical contamination can be a real challenge, not just from bacterial growth but also from unexpected sources. Improper media preparation, degraded components over time, or even chemicals leaching from cultureware can all disrupt cell behavior. This can lead to misleading results in experiments, where the cells are stressed or not functioning normally. Your video does a great job of highlighting the importance of maintaining a clean and controlled environment for these finicky cells. If you have any specific question in mind, please feel free to ask.
Molto inspirante
Thank you so much, this video was supper helpful.

thanks so much
Thank you 🙏
Where do we mixing master mix? Laminary flow?
Thanks! Started my final year project this week and was hoping to get everything right from the get-go.
Thanks for your explanations ❤
Great video to get started. Thank you
Can I use the disc immediately after adding the antibiotic without drying ??And thanks alot :-)
hi can yall reply to me the materials that were said in the video? tenksss
Good morning, here is the link to the protocol: www.goldbio.com/documents/1329/GoldBio%20Disk%20Diffusion%20Assay%20Protocol.pdf Materials needed are: Antibiotic to be tested Control Antibiotic (either previously tested product or commercially available disk) 1 overnight culture of resistant strain 1 overnight culture of susceptible strain 6 mm Whatman filter paper disks Sterile petri dishes 2 Agar plates (with no antibiotic) Tweezers
Additionally, from the video description, here are some of the specific materials: -6 mm filter paper discs -sterile petri dishes -agar plates with no antibiotic -sensitive and resistant bacterial cultures -antibiotic to test and antibiotic for control
Excelente explicación Saludos,
Very informative and helpful video alot of thanks 🌹🌹🌹
This was really helpful, thanks a lot !
What is use of antibiotic control ??
I´m really thankful for this amazing video, it was very educative and helped me a lot to discuss the results of the PCR with my classmates. Good job <3
Muchas gracias por el video. Me resultó muy útil para comprender lo necesario que es tener ese cuaderno.
